Toyota's chief test driver dies while testing Lexus LFA
Sad news today on Autoblog and newsoxy as news reports that Toyota's chief test driver, 67 year old Hiromu Naruse and an unnamed passenger have died in a crash. Reports say that the fatal accident occurred on highway 410, a road near the famous Nürburgring in Germany. While test driving Lexus's 2011 LFA Nürburgring edition, he collided head on with two other drivers who were testing a BMW both who survived, however one is said to still be in critical condition.
Naruse is a highly respected figure in the automotive world who has been involved in the development of sports cars for Toyota going as far back as the 60's.
