The Definitive Jamboree Go-to Place
Now one thing that we've noticed at Fast Fours & Rotaries is the lack of in-depth, reliable and experienced feedback on the going-ons of Jamboree 2010. Our friend's at Zoom magazine have taken their jobs very, very seriously and have provided us all with in depth information a with a meticulous eye for details. You won't get a richer source than this.
Lots more over the fold
Things are definately hotting up in preparation for Australia's biggest Sport Compact event, the 2010 Jamboree, with crews trying to squeeze in as much testing as possible before the big day. With limited opportunities to actually get on the blacktop at this time of the year we have seen a few private test days organised on automotive forums such as this meet we caught on Monday (19/07/10) at Sydney Dragway.
There were a number of top level cars attending including Pac Performance in the Mazda6 and we thought it would be a good idea to head down to the track to get a sneak peak at what we should expect when we make the trip to sunny Queensland next month.
Jamboree 20 is only a matter of days away and the Kiwi drag racers were yesterday making the most of the Queensland sunshine with some testing in the lead-up to the weekend.
It was another big day of testing yesterday at Willowbank Raceway ahead of this weekend's Jamboree event and our man on the scene, JustDave, was there to capture some of the action as well as lock in a couple of shoots for Zoom.
TCR Automotive FDRX-7 - Eddie Colon in-car video
Eddie Colon arrived at Queensland’s Willowbank Raceway for J20 after travelling all the way from Puerto Rico only to find himself without his 6sec RX7. It hadn’t arrived in time so in an act of true generosity, Dib Taouil from Sydney’s TCR Automotive offered Eddie the drive of his street 289-spec 7sec FD RX7.

Rob Campisi – Procomp Motorsport Twin-Turbo Mustang
Australia’s quickest and fastest turbocharged car soared to new heights at the recent 2010 Jamboree. Rob Campisi stunned the crowd in his twin-turbo BBF Mustang running a string of low six-second passes throughout the weekend’s racing.
Rodney Rehayem’s back-halved Mazda RX3 was never supposed to be racing at J20 but after a convincing discussion with Jamboree promoter Ray Box, the car was loaded onto the truck and sent north from the Sydney workshop to the sunny delights that Queensland holds.

One of the hottest new cars to hit the tracks in recent months is the stunning VL GOD Commodore driven by Sydney’s Anthony Maatouk. Some may know Anthony’s previous ride, another VL that wore the same licence plates, and its astonishing 8.007sec personal best at over 174mph.
Oh and it doesn't end there either. Be sure to keep checking back for updates and a further look into the results of Jamboree 2010
