Nissan R35 GT-R takes first FIAGT1 victory, Drift Attack Victoria results

The Nissan R35 GT-R has secured it's first GT1 victory last weekend with a win in round three at Portugal, driven by Germans Lucas Luhr and Michael Krumm. Australian David Brabham and Britain's Jamie Campbell-Walter finished third in their GT-R.

Nissan's dominance of Portugal started with all four entered GT-Rs taking the top four positions in qualifying, and then three of them sharing the podium in the qualifying race.

The GT1 series is full of super and hyper cars, including Lambos, Ferraris, Porsches and the like.

Eddie Colon from Puerto Rico made the journey to Australia for J20 only to find that his RX-7 got caught up in transport and thus he was left with a race without a race car. In an warm act of generosity, Dib Taouil of Sydney's TCR Automotive offered his 7 sec FD RX-7 to the guest to race in.

Our hard core colleagues over at Zoom Magazine took a trip out to Pulse Racing in Menai, NSW, and spoke with Paul Fisher who walked us through some of the modifications carried out to the Pulse Racing World Time Attack Challenge Open Class winning Mitsubishi EVO.

Paul explains how some of the modifications their track-based race car can be carried out to customers' street-based vehicles.

There is a lot of debate about who is the greatest F1 driver of all time, Every person has their favorite for lots of different reasons.

For me its Ayrton Senna,

His quest for perfection, and his absolute dedication to the race puts him in that special category right at the pinnacle of drivers.

I've noticed that there's been lots of drifter and cylinder powered motors lately and not much rotary love around here so here's an interesting rotary piece. This video was shared around the office a little while back and we weren't too sure what to do with it back then but it's a perfect ornament to our new site.

For all us crazies out there who've ever dreamed of sticking a rotary in a lawnmower, here's some fun.
